On a match built for future graduates, Fort Dodge head coach Nick Vinson packed his varsity boys lineup full of seniors.

Six seniors filled the Dodger lineup for Senior Night and they didn’t disappoint, bowling one of their top three scores of the season.

The Dodgers (7-3 overall) defeated Dowling 2,862 to 2,311. The girls remained unbeaten on the year, knocking off the Maroons 2,633 to 1,779.

On the boys’ side, Jace Ulrich led the way with a 411. Grady Dodge rolled a 409. Tyler Crimmins also passed the 400-plateau, tossing a 404 series. He had the high game of the day with a 246.

Christian Miller (386), Carson Kahler (313) and Alex Dohrn (305) followed for the Dodgers.

“They all did well,” Vinson said. “Carson had strikes in seven of his 10 baker’s balls and bowled well in singles.

“It was nice to be able to honor all of them and have a full senior lineup.”

As seniors on the girls’ side, Alexis Kenney, and Lexi Hanson have been part of three state tournaments and teams and a state championship squad as freshmen.

“It’s a big deal to (Kenney and Hanson) to try and get to state for the fourth straight time,” Vinson said. “Those two have done a nice job for us. Lexi has been in the Top-10 twice (at state) and Alexis once.

“It’s been fun to watch them bowl and get to know them and build a relationship with them. They’ve been steady for us.”

Now, along with classmate Ashleigh Starnes, the three seniors on the Dodger squad are hoping to continue the streak.

Kenney continues to remain hot in the lanes, rolling a 429 series on Thursday. Hanson recorded a 368 series.

AJ Feathers turned in the other 400 for the Dodgers.

Aryssa Lumsden (370), Hailey Folsom (298) and Starnes (275) followed.

The junior varsity boys lost 2,005 to 1,813. Aidan Porter had a 324 series and Landon Meyer had a 289.

The junior varsity girls won 1,669 to 1,396. Gabby Flores had a 290 series, while Michaela Napier (215) and Samantha Anderson (213) were next in line.

Porter and Aiden Heistand are also seniors for the Dodger boys.

The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday when they host a baker’s only tournament at Family Bowling Center. Teams in action with the Dodgers will be MMCRU, Emmetsburg and Pocahontas Area.
