Taxaide Volunteers Helping Community File Taxes This Year

SUPERIOR, Wis. — Tax season is among us, and if you have trouble figuring out how to file each year, a service in Superior is signing people up to do it for them.

The Superior Public Library held a sign up event today to give people a day and a time to get their taxes done and filed through their Taxaide Program, which is supported by the AARP.

It started at 10:30 and brought in close to 40 people within the first hour alone.

Everyone knows filing taxes can be hard, but the volunteers are reminding people not to stress, and that they’re here to help.

“I think it’s very important for thecommunity because people are getting their taxes done, they’re not sure how to do them, they don’t have to know how to do them, they can trust us to do them for them,” Nancy Carrier, Local Coordinator, AARP Taxaide Program said.

If you want to sign up, stop by the superior public library 10:30 to noon January 26th and 31st, or from noon till 2 on January 27th with Taxaide volunteers.
