Super Junior Tops KKBOX's Year-End '2021 Top 10 Korean Artists' for Second Consecutive Year

This year, Super Junior ranks at the top on KKBOX's "Top 10 Korean Artists" for their second year in a row.

Super Junior Tops KKBOX's Year-End '2021 Top 10 Korean Artists' for Second Consecutive Year

On January 20, it was announced by the Taiwanese's largest online music platform KKBOX that second-generation and legendary boy group, Super Junior, took first place in their year-end "Top 10 Korean Artists" chart through their official website and social media accounts.

According to KKBOX, the "2021 Top 10 Korean Artists" chart were selected based on their users' stream index on the platform.

In addition, not only did Super Junior top the year-end chart, but the other members as well!

Coming in at No. 4 is Yesung, who is on the chart as a solo artist, while Super Junior unit Super Junior-D&E, which composes of members Donghae and Eunhyuk, ranked at No. 6.

KKBOX also announced their year-end "2021 Top 20 Korean Songs" chart, where all songs from Super Junior's tenth Korean-language studio album "The Renaissance," which was originally released back on March 16, had dominated the KKBOX year-end chart.

In particular, their songs "House Party" had ranked at No. 2, while "Burn the Floor," "More Days With You," "The Melody," "Closer," "Raining Spell for Love," "Paradox," "Mystery," "SUPER," and "Tell Me Baby," ranked from No. 3 to No. 11, in that particular order, and taking over the chart, while IU's "Celebrity" takes the first spot.

Super Junior also took the No. 1 spot back in the "2020 Top 10 Korean Artists" chart, marking this as the group's second year in a row to be at the top.

Following their No. 1 ranking, Super Junior released a short message of gratitude through KKBOX's official social media, and said, "We want to thank the fans who have listened to our music a lot through KKBOX. Thank so so much to all the E.L.Fs (Super Junior's fandom). In 2022, Super Junior will repay your love with brand new music. We ask for your continued interest and love, and we hope that you are healthy and happy until the day we can meet in-person again."

Super Junior Eunhyuk Tests Positive for COVID-19

Meanwhile, Super Junior's label Label SJ revealed that member Eunhyuk had undergone a COVID-19 PCR test after receiving a positive test result through a rapid antigen self-diagnosis test, and was later confirmed to be positive.

According to Label SJ, Eunhyuk had gone to the hospital for a follow-up PCR test, where he was confirmed to have the virus.

They added that Eunhyuk had gotten his third dose for the COVID-19 vaccine back in December, and is currently showing very minor symptoms.

With that, Eunhyuk's scheduled activities will be halted as the idol will rest, while following guidelines issued by the disease control authorities.

Label SJ also confirmed that the other Super Junior members did not have close contact with Eunhyuk, but related staff are undergoing tests.
