The new Sharkoon SKILLER SGH50 gaming headset is a step forward from the SKILLER SGH3. Although it comes with slightly smaller speakers than its predecessor and doesn't come bundled with an external sound card, the latest addition to the SKILLER lineup of headsets sports Hi-Res Audio-certified sound quality, modular cables, and can be used with a wider range of devices.
The Sharkoon SKILLER SGH50 features a circumaural design, synthetic leather earcups, and a self-adjustable headband. It uses 50 mm speakers with 55 Ω impedance, 112 dB ± 3 dB sensitivity, 10 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range, and a maximum power of 40 mW. Volume control is provided by an inline controller. The detachable omnidirectional microphone has a frequency response of 100 Hz to 10 kHz, 2.2 kΩ impedance, -38 dB ± 3 dB sensitivity, and can be muted via the aforementioned inline controller.
The modular cables feature gold-plated connectors and ensure compatibility with PCs/laptops, tablets/smartphones/media players, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series S/X. The cable length is 110 cm + 150 cm for the 1 X 3.5 mm Stereo plug (TRRS) and 110 cm + 150 cm + 15 cm for the 2x 3.5 mm Stereo plug.
The manufacturer's suggested price is 59.9 Euros (about US$68), and those interested should be able to find the Sharkoon SKILLER SGH50 ready for purchase via multiple online and offline retailers, including Amazon (not available yet at the time of publishing).

In games, opponents can be acoustically located, and explosions can be powerfully reproduced. When listening to music, the sounds of treble, mid and bass are harmoniously balanced so that no details are lost.
Clear and Understandable
The microphone of the SKILLER SGH50 can be detached if necessary, and it is equipped with a pop filter which should effectively filter plosive sounds, enabling clear communication in video conferences and voice chats.
Fits Any Head
According to the manufacturer, particular emphasis has been placed on comfortable wearing. The ear cups, which are padded with supple synthetic leather, and the headband automatically adapt to the shape of the head. The SKILLER SGH50 should therefore be comfortable to wear even after hours of use.
Durable and Modular
According to the manufacturer, the cables are particularly robust and durable, thanks to their TPE sheathing. The modular configuration of the cables allows easy connection to all devices with audio ports. Also, the inline controller can be used to accessibly mute the microphone and adjust the volume.
