JT Daniels and Jermaine Burton reportedly met with Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin in Athens, Georgia on Thursday, and are being discussed as a package deal as they look for a transfer destination.

The former Georgia quarterback and wide receiver each entered the transfer portal, and see themselves as a “package deal,” Jon Sokoloff of WCBI News reported. This news came after Kiffin tweeted a picture of the Athens airport earlier on Thursday.

Daniels entered the transfer portal earlier this week after word got out that Stetson Bennett would return to Georgia for the 2022 season.

Daniels, a former 5-star recruit, emerged as the starter for Georgia this season after he passed for 401 yards in his Bulldogs debut last year against Mississippi State and finished the season 4-0 in that span. He passed on last year’s NFL Draft to return to Georgia.

This past season, he started the 2021 season opener against Clemson, but didn’t play against UAB due to an oblique injury. He returned the lineup a week later against South Carolina and threw for 301 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Against Vanderbilt, he was 9-of-10 for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns before giving way to Bennett in the 2nd quarter with the game in hand. His final 2 games were against Missouri and Charleston Southern as Bennett ultimately supplanted him as starter and won the national championship.

Burton, meanwhile, made 26 catches for 497 yards in 2021, which ranked as the team’s 2nd-leading receiver in yardage. His 5 receiving touchdowns were tied with Ladd McConkey for 2nd-most on the team, well behind Brock Bowers’ 13 scoring grabs.
