Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has paused production once again.
After initially shutting down in November of last year, the Black Panther sequel officially resumed filming in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this month.
Marvel pressed pause on Wakanda Forever after Letitia Wright, who plays T'Challa's younger sister Shuri, suffered a serious on-set injury. "Filming resumed this month as planned and we're on schedule," the movie confirmed last week.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther 2 has been hit with another setback after a number of cast and crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

It's not yet known how long Wakanda Forever will be put on hold for, but reports suggest filming could resume as early as this week.
In slightly more positive Black Panther news, it was recently revealed that fan-favourite character M'Baku will be given a more prominent role in the upcoming sequel.
Winston Duke will return as the Wakanda national council member in what's being described as an "expanded role" in the overall Black Panther mythos.
Unsurprisingly, details are being kept firmly under wraps for now, but fans will remember that M'Baku started out as the leader of the renegade Jabari Tribe before challenging T'Challa for control of Wakanda.

After being defeated by T'Challa, M'Baku ultimately agreed to join him in fighting against N'Jadaka and led the Jabari into battle.
It's widely expected that Wakanda Forever will see Letitia Wright's Shuri take over the mantle of Black Panther, following the death of T'Challa star Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a release date of November 11, 2022. The first movie is streaming now on Disney+.
