Todd Snyder and Converse Link Up to Design the Rebel Prep Collection

Todd Snyder’s admiration for the classics has been made clear time and time again through the majority of his collaborations catalog. Having delivered on a stylish joint effort with Converse in the past, the New York designer is linking up with the culture-ingrained Nike subsidiary again for old time’s sake, this time tackling a pair of iconic silhouettes in the Jack Purcell Ox and Chuck 70 in the new Rebel Prep Collection.

While their last collab was highlighted by a pair of Jack Purcells, the latest is neighbored by an array of garments tailored toward the capsule’s namesake. As far as the shoes go, though, the new tennis-court staples are now finished off with a water-repellent waxed canvas boasting a subtle camouflage pattern and then bolstered by a plush cork lining. Earning a similar weatherized treatment is the beloved Chuck 70, a shoe whose revitalization has become adorned by just about everyone.

While the capsule’s new shoes are its surefire highlight, there are a plethora of other elements to it. The Rebel Prep Collection also features an enviously smooth velour rugby polo, a technical cardigan clad with tennis rackets, and a water-repellent parka coated in waxed canvas courtesy of the revered British Millerain. On top of that, there is a sleek bag to round it all out. The Helmet Bag garners inspiration from the bags that test pilots formerly used for, you guessed it, their helmets. For added versatility, its straps can be adjusted for the sake of wearing it as a shoulder bag, crossbody, or knapsack.

The two brands’ latest collaboration is set to release on January 27th. However, for the time being, anyone looking to get their hands on the exclusive Chuck 70s can attempt to pre-order them for $150 via a raffle that’s open now.
