For the second time this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams will square off, as they are set to meet in the NFC divisional round.

The Rams clinched a crucial 34-24 statement win over the Buccaneers back in Week 3 of the regular season. From Matthew Stafford’s four-touchdown outing to the defense sacking Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady a notable three times, it sure was among the Rams’ more convincing outings of their campaign.

Still, for Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, he believes that a regular season result means little to nothing when it comes to a rematch in the playoffs.

“We know postseason is a whole different ballgame,” Evans said during a press conference on Wednesday.

To Evans’ credit, he was a standout performer in the Buccaneers’ road loss to the Rams, as he hauled in eight receptions for 106 receiving yards.

Since the notable early season encounter between the two NFC powerhouses, the Rams have had plenty of change with their defensive unit. From the additions of Von Miller and Eric Weddle to the elevated play of rookie linebacker Ernest Jones, they have built what many have tabbed as a star-studded defense.

Evans sees that it will be a crucial test for his offense this time around against the Rams defense.

“They have a lot of superstars on that defense, a lot of great players, and they always play really hard,” Evans said. “[They] communicate well, tackle well, bring a lot of energy, talk trash – they're a really good defense.”

Regardless of whether it will be Jalen Ramsey or possibly Darious Williams in coverage against him, Brady sure will once again call upon Evans quite a bit this week.
