According to The Telegraph, Spurs are considering making a beeline for Kessie in January in order to beat the likes of PSG to his signature.

Antonio Conte is desperate to strengthen his squad this month and boost their chances of finishing in the Premier League top four, which they currently sit one point adrift of with three games-in-hand.

Kessie, who is out of contract at the San Siro this summer, is believed to be on Conte's radar

Prising Kessie away from Milan in the winter market would require a transfer fee as well as wages, but the competition this summer would make him a more difficult target and likely drive up his salary.

As well as in midfield, Conte wants to add reinforcements upfront and at right wing-back before the window closes.

Wolves winger Adama Traore is believed to be of interest, while Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is also being linked with the club.

Milan and Spurs are also in talks over Japhet Tanganga, who the Italian side are looking to sign this month to provide cover at centre-back.
