While speaking at a news conference in Bowling Green, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis received her final chemotherapy treatment for her breast cancer diagnosis.
“You know it’s not the most fun thing to see someone to go through, but you know in the end of the day, she’s fought really hard, we think she’s responded very well.” said the governor to the crowd at the Hardee Center at South Florida State College. The governor added, “She ran that gauntlet, she’s doing well and we look forward to continue to have good news over the ensuing weeks and months.”
Florida’s first lady tweeted out her appreciation to her husband, saying “Thank you for being by my side from the beginning, but especially yesterday as we celebrated my FINAL Chemo Treatment together.”
Casey DeSantis announced her breast cancer diagnosis back in October.
