Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 aims to deliver photorealistic visuals and world-class character models.
Ninja Theory have released a couple of new images of Hellblade 2 's female protagonist Senua and it's safe to say that the level of photorealism the dev team are aiming for is truly remarkable.
To be honest, if we didn't know these were the renders from the game, we wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The character model of Senua is truly a lifelike representation of Melina Juergens, who plays Senua in the Hellblade series.
Ninja Theory say they are able to bring Senua to life thanks to "the development of skin and eye materials using studio references."
The trailer that we got to see at The Game Awards was already breathtaking in terms of visual presentation but it looks like Ninja Theory are aiming even higher. Hellblade 2 certainly is one of the most anticipated Xbox exclusives and perhaps a true showcase of the power of the Xbox Series X console.
Hopefully, we'll get to see more of the game this year, perhaps at Xbox's summer games showcase.
