Nick Saban is getting young recruiters and developers for his coaching staff at Alabama.
Travarius Robinson, a South Florida native, is expected to be the Crimson Tide’s cornerbacks coach via several reports.

The 40-year-old has a footprint in the Southeastern Conference, coaching at Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina. He was also a standout defensive back for the Tigers. Robinson is a tremendous recruiter and developer of talent.
He has mentored names such as Matt Elam, Keanu Neal, Vernon Hargreaves, Carlton Davis, and Jaycee Horn to being high NFL Draft picks.
Alabama looks for Robinson to provide the success of previous names such as Kirby Smart, Jeremy Pruitt, Derrick Ansley, Mel Tucker, and Karl Scott in coaching defensive backs. Drew Svoboda served as tight ends coach and special teams coordinator in 2021 for the Tide, but one of his titles has been removed.
Alabama is expected to add Coleman Hutzler of Ole Miss to coach special teams. He played linebacker for Middlebury College in Vermont (2002-05), but Hutzler is one of the best special teams coordinators in the sport. Hutzler produced success at Florida (twice), New Mexico, South Carolina, Boston College, and Ole Miss on special teams. Saban is targeting coaches that specialize in certain areas.
Robinson specializes in cornerbacks, and Hutzler specializes in special teams.
Svoboda changed his coaching title on Twitter to “tight ends coach” for the Tide.
Hutzler also has experience coaching inside and outside linebackers, but Alabama has Pete Golding and Sal Sunseri in those roles.
