In the latest TV show ratings, all of ABC’s Wednesday sitcoms hit or tied season lows, while two-thirds of NBC’s #OneChicago trifecta led the night.
ABC’s The Goldbergs (with 3 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating) and The Wonder Years (2.1 mil/0.4) tied season lows in both measures, while The Conners (2.9 mil/0.4) marked new lows and Home Economics (1.9 mil/0.3) matched its demo low. The Chase (2.1 mil/0.3) was steady.
Over on steady-Eddie NBC, Chicago Med (7.2 mil/0.8) and Fire (7.1 mil/0.8) tied for the Wednesday demo win, with the former this time around copping the largest audience. P.D. did 5.7 mil/0.7.
Elsewhere:
THE CW | Legends of Tomorrow (563K/0.1) matched its second most-watched episode of the season, while Batwoman (443/0.1) dropped a few viewers.
CBS | Again leading out of a TPIR primetime special (4.8 mil/0.7), The Amazing Race (3.5 mil/0.6) and Good Sam (2.3 mil/0.3) both ticked up in the demo, though the latter shed viewers for a second straight week since its debut.
FOX | I Can See Your Voice (2 mil/0.4) and Next Level Chef (1.8 mil/0.4) dipped.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. I kinda miss Louise on The Conners. Hope KS recovers soon enough.
What’s wrong with Kathy Segal?
She was hit by a car a few months ago.
The Conners is terrible this season. Sick and tired of Darlene whining about Ben and her love life. I love Becky but Darlene, not so much.
My thoughts exactly!
Ditto. Jackie is my favorite but the age difference I don’t like with her new bo, I’d like to c Dan n Peggy more. The only one could fill Rosie’s shoes. I love em all
That ABC bloc will be ‘don’t look its horrifying’ bad when we get to Spring and the usual ratings decline of the season hits. I genuinely do wonder if The Conners is as safe as some may think given how lucrative the contracts the cast are on.
ABC’s comedy block had a horrible night. The Goldbergs is clearly on its last legs as the kids are no longer kids. Wonder Years is cute but not memorable. The Conners is as bad as it ever has been. Making the untalented Sara Gilbert the star was a fatal mistake. And I have really enjoyed Home Economics to date but last night’s episode was brutally bad. Won’t miss any of the four if they are canceled.
Now would be the perfect time to end the Goldbergs. With George Segal’s passing the spark is gone. The show should end this way: Adam graduates high school and is off to NYU. Erica gets married. Murray sells the store, and he and Bev go traveling. And Barry is Barry.
Something like that has to happen. Jeff Garlin will be gone (and good riddance to have that jerk off the show) and his absence as Murray would be hard to write around.
This show is clearly done after this season.
Getting rid of Roseanne killed the show we all live Dan kids r brats we really don’t care for the kids like we do Dan n Jackie n their mom, just my opinion being raised by Roseanne and how to be a single mother by Jackie or single period.
As bad as ever – a good description of the Conners.
The Conners was HORRIBLE last night. I could barely watch it.
Sometimes addiction is hereditary, im sure that’s why Mark uses, how they killed off Rosie n mark Becky’s husband really did pass during a season. Keep watching don’t give up on this show. Darlene will probably end up gay because Roseanne said it first show season 10 of Roseanne, keep watching please
I have enjoyed the conners has been great this season. I can’t wait for Katey to comeback. I feel the conners always gets better towards the last half of the season.
So much hate for the Conners. Smh I love this show. Lol I
I do too, but i just thought yesterday’s episode was horrible. I could barely watch it.
I thought Aldo was bad enough, but the character of his father was even worse!!
Yesterday was more of a filler episode. It was definitely my least favorite episode.
I agree with this. I enjoy it normally but Aldo is awful and his father was 10 times worse!
That was a weird episode of Legends
I personally don’t care much for the shows, but One Chicago is a juggernaut
I don’t hate The Conners. I hate how Ben is being portrayed as this good guy that did nothing wrong while Darlene is completely to blame for their break up. He was not perfect. He didn’t cheat, but he had his moments of selfishness, arrogance and difficulty. If they put Ben and Darlene back together (which I don’t want anymore) I hope they both acknowledge their faults and it’s not portrayed as Ben willing to give Darlene a chance, difficulty and all, because he loves her so much. He is not a martyr. This portrayal of him on a pedestal has gotten really old.
I wish David would come back. I guess the actor wants a break from sitcoms – after 17 seasons on Big Bang Theory.
Johnny Galecki is no better as an actor than Sara Gilbert. Somehow The Big Bang Theory survived in spite of him.
This show needs to put more focus on the great actors that they have already — John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Katey Sagal. And Lecy Gerenson is terrific as Becky.
I miss David too, he’s the best thing about Roseanne, I was so glad when he came back to Conners, and I keep waiting for him.
I Love “Home Economics”
It didn’t have great ratings last season either but it got a season 2. And it just keeps getting better.
I wonder if it gets a big +3 or +7 day boost. Maybe it is on the more affordable side to shoot. Either way I am HOPING for a season 3.
I’m not condoning any Roseanne said, but dang, I wish she was still on the show. The Connors is fine, and I’ll watch till the end because I grew up with the family and love them. But the show isn’t nearly as good. I love Darlene, but she was always best in doses, not as the show’s lead. I went back and watched the 8 new episodes Roseanne was in, and they were quite funny. What could have been.
On Home Economics – Who caught the Easter egg of Cheech & Chong’s “Dave” during the closing credits puppet show?
Also, on Roseanne, er The Connors, getting Joe Walsh to play guitar during the closing credits made up for the bad will they/won’t they plotline of Darlene and Ben.
I totally agee!
Please CANCEl the conn
I liked last night’s Goldbergs. I still find the show charming. Tired of all the bashers! Two thumbs still enthusiastically up from me on The Goldbergs!
Loved John Goodman, loved Roseanne, But not even the talented Katey Segal helps the show, its so depressing, and no one is everrrrr happy, ever!! Darlene gives me a headache, sober Becky still sounds drunk, and they ruined Jackie, Funny thing is, DJ is the most normal one of all. Reality check, Louise & Dan? She has a home, a job, and a band, and she’s gonna move in with the depressing Conners?
Agreed!
I love Jason Isaacs, but Sophia Bush cannot act at all.
There are simply too many characters on the Connors and the pacing of the dialogue is not what it was on Roseanne. While I have no problem with Sara Gilbert, the real powerhouses of the cast (Laurie Metcalf and Lecy Goranson) have been short-changed this season with mad-cap nonsensical drivel.
I love all Wednesday’s shows. I hope they stay. Especially Home Economics. I hope it does not get cancelled.
Glad to see low ratings for the Conners. This show is nothing without Roseanne. This was her show. She apologized for what she did to get herself taken off the show. I look forward to this crappy show being canceled. Thanks for letting me rant!
