Schools across Springfield are coming together this Friday for the All-City food drive, to help raise money and food for charity.
The All-City Food Drive is where all the city schools get together and help St. Martin de Porres with a radiothon.
"You can drive up, drop off a pledge of money or a food item or you can call in and make a pledge," said SHG student body president, Noah Gray.
Sacred Heart-Griffin High School Student Body President Noah Gray is helping with the event. He enjoys seeing different schools in the area working together.
"We want to come together during the boy's city tournament. everybody collectively and we wanna help feed the hungry in our community. There are people out there that are hungry and that shouldn't be a problem this day and age," Gray said.
Anyone can stop by the Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
"Just come out, donate. every penny counts and with your help, we can stop this crisis in our community," Gray said.
Last year, over $100,000 was raised to help benefit St. Martin de Porres.
If you can’t make it to the event, you can call in and donate, by dialing 217-971-7661 or 217-306-0388 on Friday, January 21 from 6 to 9 a.m.
