West Virginia TV reporter Tori Yorgey is trending on social media Thursday following the viral video which showed her getting hit by a car during a live shot on Wednesday night. You can see video of the accident here.

A quick look at her Twitter account reveals that Yorgey is an Eagles fan: “Born and raised outside of Philadelphia #GOBIRDS. Penn State grad #WEARE.”

And Yorgey proved she’s Philly tough, getting up and finishing her live shot. “I just got hit by a car but I’m OK, Tim,” Yorgey told the anchor at WSAZ.

As Yorgey recovered and continued, she admitted this wasn’t her time being run down while reporting. “I actually got hit by a car in college too just like that,” Yorgey said.

In a couple of weeks, Yorgey will take her nerves of steel to the Steel City.

Earlier this month, news dropped on Twitter that the 25-year-old Yorgey is joining WTAE in Pittsburgh on Feb. 1 as a nighttime reporter. Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

Though she will always be a huge Philadelphia sports fan, she has no problems adopting Pittsburgh’s teams. She even name-dropped the Steagles — a team that merged the Eagles and Steelers for the 1943 NFL season — as a reminder that Pennsylvania’s football teams and fans can coexist in peace. “I have to root for all Philly sports teams,” she said. “My mom would not be happy otherwise. But I still think we can all be friends.”

Yorgey’s loyalty will be put to the test during the 2022 regular season because the Eagles are slated to host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lincoln Financial Field.
