Second Extinction is a first-person shooter game where you fight dinosaurs with your friends. It’s developed and self-published by Systemic Reaction. A new patch for the game went live just right now, and it brings several bug fixes related to UI, weapons, equipment, and more.
Equipping “Direct Impact” will no longer break Artillery Cannon, so it should work. Critical damage weapon perks will also function as intended. The patch addressed the “Reset to Default” option in the Gamma setting menu not working properly.
From now on, player-stated sensitivity options will be saved properly. War Effort update screen will no longer be overlapped by Cross-Play info pop-up. Dinos getting stuck in spawn caves have been addressed, and a minor crash issue is fixed.

- Before, the sensitivity options sometimes didn’t save properly. This is now fixed.
- The Cross-play info pop-up no longer overlaps with the War Effort update screen
- The “Reset to Default” option works properly in the Gamma settings menu
- Fixed several issues where Dinos were stuck in spawn caves. They are no longer shy!
- Fixed a crash that happened when a player filled in incorrect credentials in the Apex Connect account creation screen
- A dino ate the “Adrenaline Shot” perk for the pistol before the last Supply Drop. It is available again. Don’t ask how we got it back.
- Artillery Cannon works properly when equipping the perk "Direct Impact"
- Weapon perks that cause the weapons to do critical damage are now functional

Second Extinction is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can purchase it for $24.99 on Steam, but keep in mind that it is in Early Access, so expect some bugs while playing.
