PHOTOS: Disney World’s Rental Strollers Just Got a Serious Upgrade

If you’re planning a visit to Disney World with little kids, there are a few extra things that you’ll need to plan for.

It takes a lot of planning to get this view!

You’ll want to do some research on which rides have height requirements (and if your kids meet those), ensure that you’ve got all your essentials packed in your park bag, and determine how you’re going to get around the parks. And, while some park guests opt to bring their own stroller, for others it’s more convenient to take advantage of Disney World’s stroller rentals in the parks. But, now those strollers have a brand NEW look!

In August of last year, we spotted a new rental stroller design in Disneyland, and now they have officially arrived in Disney World too!

The new strollers are here!

We found these at the stroller rental location at the front of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning and they feature classic red, black, and yellow coloring — a pretty big upgrade from the beige color that previously adorned the strollers.

Of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse can be found on the sides of the mesh covering, which also doubles as a canopy for kiddos that you can have open to let in the sun…

…or cover with a heavier red piece of fabric to keep the sun out of your kiddo’s face.

You can cover up the top too

These new rental strollers are functionally pretty similar to the ones that were here before, so you’ll still find things like a break for parking the stroller…

…and they still come in two different sizes — a single and a double.

Single and Double Stroller

Currently, you can rent a single stroller for $15 per day (or $13/day if you rent for the length of your stay), and double strollers can be rented for $31 per day (or $27 per day for the length of your stay).

The single stroller is made for children 38 inches and 50 lbs or under and the double stroller is for two children 38 inches and 50 lbs or under.

And, don’t forget that stroller rentals are honored for same-day use at ALL four Disney World parks (based on availability), so you can spend your morning in one park, drop off the rental stroller before you leave, and then hop to another park and pick up another stroller there without having to pay extra.
