New ‘Batman’ Will be the Longest ‘Batman’ Film to Date

The length of the newest Batman film has been released.

The highly anticipated film, set to be released in March, now has a run time of 2 hours and 55 minutes, the longest Batman film to ever be released. Produced by DC Films, there are details of the film now being released as well, including a lot of Robert Pattinson’s dialogue that is read through voiceover journal entries.

Starring Robert Pattinson as Batman, the film is set around him in his second year of fighting crime; while doing so, he uncovers corruption surrounding Gotham City that connects to his family- all while facing a serial killer known as The Riddler.

The movie is longer than The Dark Knight Rises, which held the previous record for the longest Batman film at 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Batman film now stands as DC Comics’ second-longest superhero movie, behind Justice League, released in 2017. It is also just six minutes shorter than Marvel’s Avengers Endgame, making Batman the third-longest superhero movie released to date.

The film also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Paul Dano as The Riddler. Directed by Matt Reeves and written by Peter Craig and Mattson Tomlin.

The film hits theaters on March 4th, 2022.
