Through 3 Quarters

Down ten at the end of last quarter, the Philadelphia 76ers have now snagged the lead. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Orlando Magic 94-80 three quarters in.

Center Joel Embiid has taken over for Philadelphia, currently boasting 47 points (50% of their total) along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. Embiid's night has made it three games in a row with at least 32 points.

Orlando has been led by center Mo Bamba, who so far has shot 7-for-8 from downtown and has recorded 30 points and four boards.

What to Know

The Orlando Magic have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Philadelphia 76ers and are hoping to record their first win since Dec. 27 of 2019. They will face off against one another at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The Magic came up short against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, falling 98-88. Orlando was down 81-61 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Shooting guard Gary Harris had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 29 minutes with.

Meanwhile, the game between Philadelphia and the Washington Wizards on Monday was not a total blowout, but with the 76ers falling 117-98 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Philadelphia's loss came about despite a quality game from center Joel Embiid, who had 32 points along with eight rebounds.

Orlando is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Now might not be the best time to take Orlando against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.

Orlando is now 8-37 while Philadelphia sits at 25-18. The Magic are 7-29 after losses this year, the 76ers 10-7.
