Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers discussed his mysterious toe injury on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.

It turns out the Rodgers didn’t injure his toe practicing donkey kicks on Joe Rogan’s jujitsu bags, unfortunately.

While Rodgers didn’t tell us specifically how he injured it, or what the extent of it is, he allowed us some insight into where he’s at ahead of the Packer’s playoff game this weekend.

“As far is how it’s feeling, it feels really good,” Rodgers said. “There’s still some achy-ness from time to time but I think at this point, I’m as close to 100 percent as I’m going to get for the rest of the season, so it’s not an issue. I’ve been practicing every single day.”

Rodgers also silenced the rumors of COVID-toe as well.

“Look man, I told you I didn’t have COVID toe,” Rodgers told Pat McAfee. “And I hurt it doing COVID, so it was a COVID injury, a COVID time injury, but not COVID toe and I think that’s all it needs to be said.”

While he’s been battling a toe injury for the last couple months, there was speculation that the Green Bay Packers quarterback was going to have surgery during the team’s bye week. However, that wasn’t the case.

“I think any decision that’s made would be one that allows me to play. I’m not going to miss any games,” Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show back in December. “I’ve obviously played with much bigger injuries, different parts of my body. And although it’s a small pinky toe, it’s definitely painful and creates some issues. But I’m not going to miss any games because of it.”

Rodgers tested postive for COVID-19 in early November, having to sit out in a 13-7 loss against the Chiefs that saw Jordan Love make his first NFL start. Since returning from the COVID list, the Packers won seven of their last eight games to finish the regular season.

With the toe injury seemingly behind him, Rodgers and the Packers are looking ahead to this Saturday as they host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Playoffs at 8:15 p.m. ET live on FOX. The winner will face either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game the following week with a shot at the Super Bowl on the line.
