Steelers re-sign long snapper Christian Kuntz

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The Steelers have signed Chartiers Valley grad Christian Kuntz to a one-year deal on Wednesday.

Kuntz was the Steelers long snapper all season after spending 2020 on the practice squad.

He played linebacker at Duquesne University and also spent time in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Steelers also signed defensive back Isaiah Johnson and wide receiver Steven Sims to a Reserve/Future contracts.

Johnson signed to the team’s practice squad in mid-December and was drafted by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 draft. He’s appeared in 19 NFL games.

Sims was signed to the practice squad at the beginning of the season. He played two seasons in the NFL with the Washington Football Team catching 61 passes for 575 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had one touchdown with special teams on a kickoff return.
