Pokémon Go is hosting a Power Plant event to continue the Season of Heritage story, increasing the spawn rates on electric- and steel-type Pokémon, and adding Helioptile to the game. The event runs from Jan. 19 until Feb. 1. Our Pokémon Go guide lists out the specific event spawns, how to find Helioptile, and the Field Research and rewards.

How to find Helioptile

If you’re not having luck finding Helioptile in the wild, then try searching for a specific event Field Research Task. Helioptile is a reward from the “Walk 1 KM” Field Research, so spin some Poké Stops until you find that task.

That being said, Helioptile’s spawn rate will be increased until Feb. 1, so there’s plenty of time to try to find some and evolve your Helioptile into a Heliolisk.
