Warriors superstar Steph Curry responds to haters

Being one of the best to play the game doesn't come without a little smack talk from disbelievers. If anybody knows that all too well, it's Steph Curry.

The Golden State Warriors superstar addressed that very thing in an interview this week with The Athletic's Shams Charania

Despite shattering the league's all-time three-point record and being a key piece to the Warriors' resurgence this season, Curry still catching flack from certain corners of the greater NBA fan base.

"I’ll get tagged on something on social media, like, 'You ruined the game,'" he said. "Anybody who knows basketball knows where I stand on that. It’s an amazing way to play the game. It opens up the creative. Everybody loves to shoot the ball. But you can’t skip the work and years and years and years and years of reps that I put in and everybody on this level has. So, don’t skip that process. It is a fun way to play, and it’s dope to know that everybody feels an attachment to it."

It's impressive Curry can stay even-keeled given how emotional of a season it has already been amid his pursuit in breaking Ray Allen's three-point record.

"It’s weird because I’m still feeling the emotions of that," he said. "It was so emotional with the lead-up and all of that. It’s nice to have that weight off my shoulder and just enjoy the way that I play the game. Every 3 that I make now is a new record, which is kind of funny, but I still have a lot of gratitude for all the people that celebrated it with me."

The Warriors are currently in second place in the Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns.
