The event is supported by the Friends of the Richland Library. If your child is preschool age, he or she must be accompanied by an adult.

I absolutely loved going to the library as a child. It's one of my fondest memories of grade school. My very first librarian ever was Mrs. Clemens at South Grove Elementary School, in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. A couple years later, I had a classmate, Brenda Clemens. Mrs. Clemens was Brenda's grandmother! I was so jealous! Brenda had all the cool school items, from crayons, to colored pencils, stickers, and a trapper keeper. Remember those?

Once a week visits to my school's library wasn't enough. So, I decided to get a library card and on Tuesday's my mom and I would visit the Dakota County Bookmobile. It would park at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church on 72nd Street from 6 pm till 8 pm.

I checked out as many books as I could and my dad and I would read every night before bedtime.

I have such great memories of the library and still visit at every opportunity.

Keep reading for more awesome memories, I'm sure one will tickle your fancy.
