SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson just had his best game of the season on Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons. Thompson led all scorers with 21 points in 22 minutes of play in a 102-86 victory.

However, the Warriors' five-time All-Star knows there's still a better version of himself to come. In Thompson's eyes, the recipe for success is simple: just keep shooting the ball.

“I don't care if I miss 20, I don’t care if I miss 100 shots in a row. I’m never gonna stop shooting the ball. I love it too much and I work too hard not to,” Thompson told ClutchPoints.

Thompson hasn't been shy about shooting at all. In his first game back against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the first opportunity he got, he took it to the rim and scored the team's first points of that game. The Warriors star hasn't stopped shooting since and clearly doesn't plan on stopping.

That's good news for the Warriors. When Thompson is at his best, he's one of the best shooting guards to ever play in the NBA. If the Warriors want to make a run at another championship, they will need Thompson at full strength.

There's no worry that Thompson will get back to his old self. His confidence and the way he trusts the work that he has put in over the years are two things that will never abandon him. So if it takes him 20 or even 100 shots, the old Klay Thompson is coming.

Next, the Warriors face the Indiana Pacers at home at the Chase Center. They will be without Draymond Green again as they try to capture their 33rd win of the season.
