A man walking his dog off the Roxy Ann Peak trail east of Medford found the skeletonized remains Monday, Jan. 10, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said.
Search crews with dogs combed the area to gather evidence.
Investigators announced Jan. 19 that dental records indicated the remains are those of Armando Leigh Soto, 33, originally from Yuba City, California. Soto had lived in the Medford area since 2015 before he vanished in 2020.
