The Detroit Pistons will take on the Sacramento Kings in the second game of their West-Coast road trip.

It’s the second game of a back-to-back and the Pistons will look to find some life after getting predictably wiped out by the Warriors last night in a game where they didn’t bother to show up.

This has been a frustrating trend for the Pistons, as they either win or get blown out and there hasn’t been much in between.

Cade Cunningham had a slow night, as did Killian Hayes, who only played nine minutes and is now listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Kings. Hayes has occasionally flashed tantalizing talent this season, but he has also been very fragile, so Detroit can’t factor him into any moves they make this offseason and need to upgrade their backcourt either way.

I do think patience is required with Hayes but at some point that is going to run thin.

The Kings are coming off a split with the Rockets and will be missing Tyrese Haliburton, who is in COVID protocols right now, so at least we won’t have to have the Hayes vs. Haliburton discussion yet again.

It would be nice for the Pistons to bounce back and get a win, as it’s probably their only realistic chance to do so on this tough road trip.

Detroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings: Odds, spread, over/under and best bets

According to WynnBET, the Pistons are just six point underdogs on the road tonight against the Kings, surprising considering Detroit is on a back-to-back and the Kings haven’t played since Sunday and will be well rested.

The money lines are set at +200 for the Pistons and -250 for the Kings. With such a low spread, I’d advise just taking Detroit to win outright if you want to bet them, as all of their recent losses have been blowouts, so they are either going to win or the points won’t matter.

The over/under for this one is 221.5, which seems insanely high given the fact that the Pistons failed to crack 90 points in their last game and have averaged well below 100 in their last four.

However, the books are betting against both of these team’s lousy defenses, as they give up a combined 224.8 points on average.

With little defense being played in this one, there is a chance it will be a high scoring game, but with Detroit playing their second road game in as many nights, I wouldn’t count on it and would probably bet the under if I had to.

This could be a big Cade Cunningham game, so he’s probably your best daily fantasy bet, but the best value will come with either Hamidou Diallo or Trey Lyles, who don’t cost much and have been putting up numbers for Detroit.
