Brad Bailey, former Barren County PVA, dies at 58

GLASGOW — Brad Bailey, a former property valuation administrator, has died.

Bailey served as the Barren County Property Valuation Administrator for 16 years. He was a Barren County native born in the Red Cross community. He graduated from Barren County High and the University of Kentucky.

He also held many leadership roles in various organizations like the Barren County Cattlemen’s Association, Kentucky PVA Association and Barren County Planning and Zoning Committee, according to his obituary. Bailey retired and farmed full time alongside his daughter, Megan.

Bailey’s cause of death is unclear.

A funeral service is planned at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. A visitation is scheduled after 1 p.m. Thursday. Service and visitation will be at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Barren County 4H Moo Crew or the Temple Hill Lions Club. Envelopes are available at the funeral home, according to the obituary.
