Providence College to hold annual MLK Convocation virtually

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence College will be holding its annual convocation in celebration of Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, virtually this year, as well as with two very important guests.

The Convocation will be feature two speakers, Dr. Bernice King, The Daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, as well as Professor Ilyasah Shabazz, daughter of Malcolm X. The MLK Convocation is a part of a week-long celebration of Dr. King’s life and legacy at Providence College. The event will take place Thursday, January 20, starting at 2:30 p.m. Any recording of the event is prohibited.
