Ecco2k and Bladee share new single “Amygdala”
Machatok produces the song, which comes with a rave-heavy visual from Anton Tammi.
Bladee and Ecco2k are the two most visible artists in Drain Gang, the Stockholm-based collective whose influence in underground scenes like hyperpop and digicore cannot be overstated. They're still creating exciting work individually, with Bladee making one of favorite albums of 2021 (The Fool) and Ecco2k hitting No. 96 on our Best Songs of 2021 list with "In The Flesh."
On Wednesday, they released a new collaborative single called "Amygdala" produced by Mechatok, another Drain Gang mainstay. A mutant ballroom anthem, "Amygdala" is a hypodermic shot of pure euphoria. And speaking of euphoria, the song's music video from Anton Tammi could be a scene in the titular HBO show: a foggy rave surging with the power of youth and expensive clothes. Check it out above.
