Doctor Doom is teased in the Moon Knight trailer.

Is it an Easter egg or is it foreshadowing?

Either way, it can’t be a coincidence.

Fast-forward to 1:27 in the trailer.

Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) is driving a truck.

Behind him, there’s a box marked Von D. As in, Von Doom.

Granted, the last name isn’t shown.

Other boxes in the truck blurred the lettering.

Marvel Studios knows fans will analyze every second of the footage.

It generates discussion.

People talk when the Fantastic Four’s greatest villain is referenced.

So what’s going on?

First of all, it’s doubtful Doctor Doom is in Moon Knight.

Yes, Kang the Conqueror did debut in Loki.

But Doctor Doom is on another level.

Specifically, Doctor Doom is huge.

Marvel Studios won’t introduce him on a streaming series.

Secondly, Moon Knight and Doctor Doom clashed in Marc Spector: Moon Knight No. 39 in 1992.

Therefore, it’s possible that Doctor Doom is at least mentioned.

Perhaps the boxes are Doctor Doom’s supplies.

In fact, he might have a company in the MCU.

In other words, they could be his corporation’s products.

For now, Marvel Studios’ version of Doctor Doom is unknown.

Fox attempted to pull off Doctor Doom in live action twice.

Unfortunately, both were failures.

Julian McMahon played Doctor Doom two times.

He appeared in 2005’s Fantastic Four and 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

While McMahon wasn’t bad, Doctor Doom requires an Oscar-caliber actor.

Not only that, but a truly a menacing presence.

The first two Fantastic Four movies were pre-MCU.

The standards were different.

Keep in mind that was before 2008’s Iron Man changed the game.

Marvel Studios elevated the genre.

Thus, the Fantastic Four films dated fast.

Furthermore, the scripts and special effects lacked the same punch.

By Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot, Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom reached the bottom.

They miscast Toby Kebbell; however, that was just one issue in a troubled production.

Neither Doctor Doom actors made an impression.

Given that, the pressure is on for Marvel Studios to select the right Doctor Doom.

Although Doctor Doom isn’t in Moon Knight, it’s exciting to know he’s on the way.
