Florida woman shot during "unlawful meeting" with man

A woman was shot on Tuesday after meeting a man in an apartment complex parking lot for what police call an “unlawful meeting.”

The unidentified victim was shot after driving to meet a man at The Landings apartment complex in Pembroke Pines.

According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, the shooting occurred during an “unlawful meeting” in the apartment complex’s parking lot.

The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at an urgent care, before she was taken via ambulance to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Police say the shooter fled the scene. 

The suspect is described as a Black man between the ages of 20 and 25 who was wearing a black shirt and gray shorts at the time of the shooting.
