On this episode of The Sixer Sense podcast, we welcome FanSided’s Sacramento site expert, Zach Ciavolella, to discuss aspects of a Ben Simmons trade between the Sacramento Kings and the Philadelphia 76ers. Due to the fact that he follows the Kings each game during the season, we start off with a conversation about the team most brought up when it comes to a potential deal with the Sixers.

The Sixer Sense podcast episode 155

Initially, Zach gives his take on the state of the franchise in Sacramento. Explaining where the team is currently, he also provides perspective on how the fanbase feels about possibly acquiring Ben Simmons in a trade. Are they excited, or are they skeptical to take on a player like Simmons who would come to California with a lot of baggage?

Then, the podcast brings up players who are most likely and least likely to be included in a trade. Where do Marvin Bagley Jr., Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, and De’Aaron Fox stand as priorities within Sacramento’s franchise?

The conversation then pivots to the Sixers’ recent victories versus Miami and Boston. With back-to-back wins versus conference rivals, Joel Embiid resumed his outstanding play, reviving his NBA MVP campaign chances.

The final topic revolves around the recent comments from Joel Embiid regarding the state of his team. When asked about the NBA trade deadline approaching, he claimed that the 76ers have everything they need. He stressed that there is no urgency to make changes, but we debate on whether or not Philly could be successful moving forward with the team as it is currently constructed.
