Barcelona have put their nightmare summer in the rear view mirror, and now they want to get on with rebuilding a shattered team.

They’ve got Xavi in place as manager, and a crop of young talents coming through. They’ve already added a goalscorer in the form of Ferran Torres, but they’re not going to stop there.

The Daily Mail claim they’ve been offered a host of Premier League players who are unwanted by their clubs (to varying degrees). Among them is Timo Werner, whose playing time has dropped off this season.

He’s a popular figure and has had his moments, but it’s easy to see why Chelsea would be ready to cash in. None of their attacking options are really working out right now, and if they want to buy more they will have to clear some space in the squad.

Getting Timo off the books would be a nice start.
