Ian Page and the Mozartists are set to present two unique concerts celebrating music from the year 1772.

The first concert, scheduled for Jan. 27, 2022 at Cadogan Hall, will feature sopranos Chiara Skerath and Jessica Cale as they perform Niccolò Jommelli’s “E Alfeo m’inganno?… Barbari, ah! non ferite” from “Cerere Placate;” “Ombra cara… Io resto sempre a piangere” from Tommaso Traetta’s “Antigona;” “Oh Dei! Qual freddo… Se tiranni, oh Dei, non siete” from Johann Christoph Bach’s “Endimione;” “Quel nocchier che in gran procella”  from Florian Gassmann’s “La Betulia Liberata,” and the second version of “Ah, perché cercar degg’io” from Mozart’s “Il sogno di Scipione.”

The performance will also include symphonic works by Mozart and Haydn, conducted by Page.

There will be a second performance on March 15, 2022, also at Cadogan Hall, featuring three symphonies by Haydn.
