They have someone in mind. WWE has gutted its roster in the last year and a half and unfortunately there might be even more cuts coming in the future. There are going to have to be some new signings brought in to fill in some gaps and that could take some serious searching. This time though, one name has caught some eyes and there is move to get her signed.

According to Fightful Select, there is a strong push in WWE to sign former Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C to a contract. Rok-C participated in a recent WWE tryout camp and some in the company had been wanting her signed even before then. This comes less than a week after Rok-C lost the Ring of Honor Women’s Title to Deonna Purrazzo on Impact Wrestling.

Rok-C is twenty years old and was trained by Booker T. She began wrestling in 2018, main in Texas. Due to Ring of Honor going on hiatus, Rok-C has no contract with the promotion, meaning that she should be able to sign anywhere else she likes. There is no word on if Rok-C is interested in signing with WWE at the moment. This also comes as WWE has been changing its hiring practices, with a shift away from signing independent wrestlers.

Opinion: This is one of those signings that sounds great on paper, but there is always going to be the threat of the releases hanging over Rok-C’s head. Those have been such game changers and there is almost no way around the threat of having the rug pulled out from underneath you. Rok-C is a very talented star and could fit into the NXT Women’s Title picture after a bit of higher level training, but that is assuming WWE would take a chance on her.

What do you think of Rok-C? Will WWE sign her? Let us know in the comments below.
