CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Professional Bull Riding will return to the Oil City this spring. PBR’s Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour is scheduled to make a stop at the Ford Wyoming Center on April 2.

It’s the fourth time PBR will stop in Casper, and the last time was in 2020. The Velocity Tour is a combination of up-and-coming bull riders and current stars in the sport.

Ford Wyoming Center General Manager Brad Murphy said “it’s quite a big thing” to receive a PBR date during an interview on Tuesday.

“We love the event,” said Murphy. “It’s a show. It’s a spectacle. They have all the fireworks, all the fun, all the glam that goes with professional bull riding, and [it’s] just a great overall event for this building and this demographic.”

40 bull riders will compete during the event for the opportunity to move into the final 10, and a champion of the event will be crowned from within those final competitors.

Murphy called this a “staple event” for the Ford Wyoming Center.

“Wyoming is rodeo country and bull riding country,” said Murphy. “This is what our community and our people really enjoy, and we see that in the attendance numbers for these events over and over, so that’s why it’s so important to continue to grow that area and to provide our people with that experience.”

Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. For more information about the event, visit here.
