San Francisco, CA – For most of the season, the Golden State Warriors have been the best team in the NBA. Largely because of the amount of chemistry the squad has displayed on a nightly basis. Now, as we get closer to the second half of the season, the Warriors are going through a rough patch.

In their last 10 games, they've only won four assignments, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr is now challenging the troops to do better.

“We've got to go prove that the team that we've been all year, is the team that's going to be out there tonight. Defending with a lot of energy, and a lot of force. So, we'll see,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

For the majority of the campaign, the Warriors have the best offense and defense in the NBA. Things were expected to get better when Klay Thompson returned, but that hasn't been the case yet. As soon as the team got Thompson back, Draymond Green went down with an injury.

Green was originally out because of soreness in his calf muscle. But later, the team discovered it was from a disc in his back that's causing the discomfort. He is out for at least two weeks before being evaluated again.

Even though the Warriors won't have Green, Kerr expects the team to respond to his challenge immediately. They have one of the deepest rosters in the NBA, so they have to exercise the next-man-up mentality quickly if they plan to please their coach and the Bay Area fans.
