Tuesday Night: Storms Wednesday night; Potential for a wintry mix Friday morning

Tonight: Partly cloudy and milder. Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s. We may even warm a couple of degrees by daybreak.

Wednesday/Wednesday Night: A cold front will move in late, but ahead of the front, temperatures will still be in the low and mid 70s. Storms are likely overnight through Thursday morning. A line of storms will move in around bedtime/overnight. The line will weaken as it moves to the southeast, but we could still have a strong to severe storm or two. Main concern will be damaging wind, but a spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out. Overnight temperatures will start to fall into the 40s.

Thursday & Friday: We may have lingering rain during the day on Thursday. Otherwise, it’s going to be cloudy, cold, and breezy. Temperatures will likely drop into the lower 40s and upper 30s by the afternoon.

Overnight and early Friday morning, freezing rain, cold rain, and sleet will be possible. Areas closer to the coast may only have cold rain, unless temperatures can drop a little more. There will be a window through Friday morning where this could occur. It’s still a little too soon to know for sure.

Overnight and early Friday morning temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s and we will only warm into the upper 30s to lower 40s on Friday, which means any ice that develops would melt later in the morning. Friday night temperatures will be in the mid and upper 20s, which means we may have to watch for a moderate to possibly even a hard freeze.

Weekend: Sunshine returns on Saturday, but it will still be cold and breezy. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s on Saturday and 50s on Sunday. Overnight light to moderate freezes again.

Early Next Week: Temperatures moderate a little bit and we could have another cold front move in by the middle half of the week.
