The biggest fear concerning Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as they head to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs is his toe injury. He has been dealing with it for a huge chunk of the second half of the season, and now that they are set to face the San Francisco 49ers, questions about his condition abound.

Before things get out of hand and false rumors spread, though, Rodgers set the record straight about his injury. He admitted that he is still feeling some minor pain at times, but he doesn't expect it to bother him.

The Packers QB also went out of his way to clarify that it isn't the “COVID toe” that made headlines during the initial discovery of his injury.

“Look, man, I told you I didn’t have COVID toe and I hurt it during COVID. It was a COVID-time injury but not COVID toe. That’s all that needs to be said,” Rodgers said in the Pat McAfee show.

“As far as how it’s feeling, it feels really good. There’s still some achiness from time to time, but at this point, I’m as close to 100 percent as I’m going to get for the rest of this season.”

The COVID toe issue aside–something that some people just can't move on from–it is certainly great to hear from Aaron Rodgers himself that he is close to being truly 100 percent.

Green Bay and their fan base know that the injury will linger throughout the season, including the playoffs, so the latest update should only boost the team's confidence ahead of Saturday's showdown.

Sure enough, expectations are high for Rodgers to lead the team to victory and to the Super Bowl title. That starts against the 49ers, where the superstar QB can also show the rest of the NFL that he is better than ever.
