The 2022 Beijing Winter Games are set to open on Feb. 4. Some countries are now worrying about how the Chinese companies and criminals may track, monitor or hack personal electronic devices.

Team USA sent a bulletin to all members headed to China, saying they are "encouraged" to not bring personal cell phones and computers.

"Like computers, the data and applications on cell phones are subject to malicious intrusion, infection and data compromise," Team USA's advisory states, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Dutch Olympic Committee is "anticipating Chinese surveillance during the Games," according to a report from local newspaper De Volkskrant and similar warnings have come from British Olympic Association and the Australian Olympic Committee.
