Brawlhalla Announces Esports Year Seven Featuring The "Largest Fighting Game Prize Pool In The World"

Here’s some cool news for the fighting game fans out there – particularly if you’re a fan of Blue Mammoth Games’ Brawlhalla. Today the company announced plans for the game’s 2022 esports season, which also happens to be its seventh year of esports competition. The big news for those participating in this event is that it will boast the largest fighting game prize pool in the world (Note we said “fighting game”. They’re not competing with The International, here.), $1,320,000 to be shared across all regions.

The season will include four Seasonal Championships; the Omen Oasis Championship, a Crew Battle Invitational, the Midseason, and the game’s first-ever Japan Invitational. All four of the Seasonal Championships will feature a $100,000 prize pool beginning with the winter Championship which will feature tournaments taking place every weekend starting January 28 and running through February 6.

The World Championship also features a bigger prize pool than it has in the past. This year, players can look forward to fighting for a share of $500,000.
