What is Moon Knight about?
Moon Knight , created by Jeremy Slater and directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, is based on the Marvel Comics characters created by Doug Moench. The series follows the story of Marc Spector/ Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac), a former US Marine with dissociative identity disorder—the trailer initially identifies Isaac as Steven Grant, one of Moon Knight's identities, though he later gets a phone call from someone who refers to him as Marc, indicating that the series may follow Moon Knight's time as both Steven and Marc Spector. The series also stars Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy.
In the comics, Moon Knight is a former soldier who comes into contact with Khonshu, the Egyptian mood god, which gives him new abilities. The trailer focuses on Steven's struggles with sleeplessness and his inability to separate his waking life from his dreams. The trailer also reveals the name of Hawke's character, which was previously unannounced, and debuts some of Moon Knight's strength and agility.
