Cincinnati Extends 2023 Quarterback Jake Strong First Major Offer

The quarterback has interest from schools in the Big 12 and SEC.

CINCINNATI — Recruiting season is in full swing for college football, and Cincinnati is throwing around offers left and right. The latest talent to pop up on UC's radar is 2023 quarterback Jake Strong.

The Northwest High School (Tx.) product has offers from Western Kentucky and Illinois State, but Cincinnati is the first major school to extend him a scholarship.

He is on the radar of schools like Texas A&M and Kansas State, but he is not ranked among the Class of 2023. That could change soon, and he should surely start to see more offers flow in now that one major suitor showed interest.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback earned District 3-5A-DI MVP honors this past season. He threw for 2,334 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior to follow up 2,319 passing yards and 29 scores as a sophomore.
