The Artful Escape, a musical adventure from publisher Annapurna Interactive, is bringing its jams to both Nintendo and Sony platforms. The psychedelic musical game will go live for PlayStation 4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch next week on Jan. 25, 2022.

Developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur, The Artful Escape came out last year for both Xbox and PC, and got some acclaim. It follows a young musical prodigy who goes on a musical odyssey, and it’s packed with some star voice talent. Michael Johnston, Caroline Kinley, Lena Headey, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Strong, and Carl Weathers all lend their talents in-game.

The Artful Escape might have gone a little unnoticed by some, but it picked up a few nominations, including Best Art Direction, Best Score/Music, and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021. CJ also listed it as one of his favorite games of 2021 that we didn’t cover here at Destructoid.

So if you missed the train on this one before, well, here’s a new platform to set off on. Especially as we’re still in that gracious lull period between the end of the year and the impending wave of games in February, now seems like a decent time to try something new.

The Artful Escape will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on Jan. 25 for $19.99. It’s also currently available on Xbox consoles, Game Pass, and PC.
