Get organized this January with these clever cabinet designs

Wish you had help organizing your cabinets? Shelf Genie creates customized designs made for the way you live at home. Sponsored by Shelf Genie.

January is Get Organized Month. That's why Alan Regala from Shelf Genie of Seattle joined New Day NW to share clever ways to get organized with compact kitchen cabinets.

Spice Towers: These glide-out cabinet towers are both a functional and attractive way to organize your spice rack. The best part is that nothing falls out!

Full deck upper cabinets: Most people have flat kitchen items stacked on top of each other, which can make it a hassle to pull items like trays out when you need them. Having them stored vertically will make it so much easier to slide that baking tray out.

The Prep Station: Having a convenient space near the fridge for all needs from fixing lunches to storing items that go in the fridge after a meal is handy. Alan showed us a cabinet space with three drawers: one with plastic wraps and ziplock bags, his storage container drawer, and a tray for efficiently laying down water bottles. These gliding drawers slide out easily and can hold up to one hundred pounds using high-quality hardware.

Custom Inserts: Shelf Genie can design drawers to hold exactly what you need. Custom inserts will keep items segregated for easy organization and stress-free use. Some of the key concepts designers at Shelf Genie think about when designing a space include how are you using spaces and the location of items when you are using them.

Shelf Genie thoughtfully designs spaces. They start with an in-home design consultation and work with you to figure out how you use your own space to create solutions that are customized, efficient, and meaningful. Best of all, they give an accurate quote on the spot.
