We knew for quite some time now that BMW's V-8 and V-12 engines are living on borrowed time. In fact, when the new generation 7 Series will arrive at the end of 2022, none of these engines will be offered. Instead customers will have to choose between straight-six, hybrid or all-electric versions.

Now, BMW confirmed that the last V-12 will be produced in June 2022 and, to mark the event, it will launch a total of 12 M760i Final V12 Edition units. Each will carry a price tag of $200,000, plus destination fees and will be distinguished by unique badging, wheels, and a vast collection of exterior colors and upholstery.

What's so special about the BMW M760i Final V12 Edition?

First things first. Under the hood the M760i Final V12 Edition will offer a 6.6-liter V-12 engine - no surprise here! Since it is based on the M760i xDrive, the engine will deliver a total of 601 horsepower between 5,500-6,500 rpm and 590 pound-feet of torque. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be made in 3.6 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155 mph, but if you remove the speed limiter it will go up to 190 mph.

As for the looks, there won't be many distinctive features offered by the Final V12 edition. Outside there will be a bold 'V12" icon at the rear, while the door sills and the engine cover will get a special "THE FINAL V12" plate. The center console will also feature a plaque commemorating the vehicle as "1 OF 12."

The car will ride on special 20-inch Style 760M double-spoke light alloy wheels offered in either Window Grey or Jet Black. They will be combined with M Sport brakes with a choice of blue or black calipers.

There will be over eighty exterior colors to choose from for the exterior paint and several tones of opulent Full Merino leather from BMW Individual for the interior.

The model will also be offered in a fully-equipped configuration and will include:
