Unlike the early process, where subscribers got a mystery box of produce selected by the company, now subscribers can pick from a constantly rotating selection of snacks to meat and seafood, herbs and spices, along with, yes, ugly produce. We loved the selection of products offered, which was enough that our reviewer could check off almost everything from her grocery list. Produce options change with the seasons, so there's always something new. The imperfections, while not detailed prior to ordering, are often cosmetic only, like a weird shape or minor bruising. We also appreciated the transparent pricing and the weather-proofed boxes that orders arrive in.
