Meghan Linsey and Tyler Cain Share Pics of Surprise Hawaii Wedding

Country duo Meghan Linsey and Tyler Cain have gotten married, after revealing to the world they had eloped to Hawaii over the weekend.

Married in a private beach ceremony Sunday evening (January 16) in Maui, Hawaii, the Nashville based couple told People.com that they were engaged in 2019 and planned to be married in 2020. But after three postponements due to the pandemic and other obstacles, they decided enough was enough, and are now husband and wife. Working with a service called Simple Eloped, the couple decided to tie the knot just a few days before exchanging vows, and ended up doing so in the spot where Cain’s parents honeymooned years before.

“It was so easy. We decided to elope one week before our big day, so I did a Google search and found them,” Linsey said. “They took care of every detail, from permit for the location, flowers, officiant, photographer, videographer… literally everything. It was so nice because I didn’t have to really do much except pick the location and flowers I wanted!”

“We are just so excited to finally be married,” Cain told People. “We’ve been together for 10 years in March and we are more in love now than we’ve ever been. We just knew if we don’t do it now, then when? With COVID, it’s so hard to know when it would be a good time to have a large gathering. We love our family and friends so much and don’t want to put anyone at risk.”

In a feature spread, the couple shared details of the bride’s custom dress and their wedding bands, with Cain’s ring featuring an engraved sound wave of the duo’s song “Nowhere With You,” which they released in March 2021.

Linsey and Cain also shared photos from the special day and some backstory on the surprise. Together for nearly 10 years, they reportedly met while working on a record for James Otto, and after getting engaged during a video shoot in Alaska, hoped to marry in 2020. Family tragedies, the pandemic tree crashing into their studio intervened, but getting eloped turned out to be “the perfect solution.”

“We both love to travel and Maui seems like the perfect place to get married,” Linsey said. “I also think it’s cute that we got engaged in Alaska and married in Hawaii!”

After becoming the runner-up on NBC’s The Voice in 2015, vocalist Meghan Linsey became one-half of the Billboard chart-topping country duo, Steel Magnolia. Tyler Cain is a Nashville based producer and artist, and after teaming up together, the couple have released a number of songs including a collab with rapper Chingy on 2020’s “The Whoa Down.”
