During the second period of Monday's game between Colorado and Minnesota, Wild forward Jordan Greenway ran into Avalanche goaltender Darcy Kuemper. Kuemper would be forced to leave the game and Pavel Francouz came in to replace him

Colorado's Kurtis MacDermid then came to the defence of Kuemper and fought Greenway. Greenway received a two-minute minor for goaltender interference on the play.

Following the game, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar called on the league to take a look at the hit.

"It's not a reviewable play, so I thought the refs handled it fine. I thought maybe it could have been four or a major, depending on how you see it and how fast you think he's going and how intentional you think it is," Bednar said.

He added, "I didn't really have a problem with what they called. Now, I'd like to see the league look at it."

On Tuesday, Jordan Greenway commented on the hit, saying that he was not intentionally trying to make contact with Kuemper.

"I didn't really try to intentionally give it to him. I just was skating through. Obviously I ended up clipping him. And then the fight, you've got to kind of expect it from a guy like that, right?" Greenway said.

The Avalanche and Wild won't meet again until March 27th.
